Codex Antiqua is developed by Nebula Quest Studio. This page explains, in plain language, what information the game collects and how it is used.
What we collect
By default, you play anonymously. Your progress (today's puzzle state, ranking position, museum collection, credits) is tied to an anonymous session stored in your browser — we don't know who you are.
If you choose to link your account (via email or Google), we store the email address or the basic profile Google provides, so your progress can follow you across devices. This is entirely optional — the game is fully playable without it.
Your chosen nickname, daily ranking results (time, mistakes, steps), and museum/shop progress (relics, cosmetics, credits) are stored tied to your account.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't collect payment information — the shop only uses in-game credits.
Third parties
Account storage and authentication are handled by Supabase, our backend provider.
We use Google Analytics on our main site (codexantiqua.com) to understand, in aggregate, how the game is used (pages visited, device type, approximate region) — not to personally identify you. This tracking does not run in the itch.io or CrazyGames embedded versions.
If you're playing through CrazyGames, their own SDK and privacy policy apply to that platform's ads and features.
Your choices
You can play entirely anonymously and never link an account.
